Proposal Writing Course

We invite you to join the course on (Proposal Writing). During the course, participants will be provided with an overview of how to write a standard project proposal to a foundation. It will include:  The basic elements of a proposal, submitting a proposal, how to follow up and hand-out exercises to develop a proposal outline. Students will learn how to write a project summary, background, how to determine project objectives, how to assess risks, and the methodology of monitoring the project activities. They will also be introduced to the theory of budgeting. 

The course is designed for employees of civil society organizations, who would like to improve their project proposal skills. After the course, you will understand better how to write proposal indicators and how to follow up and monitor its implementation at the highest level. Employees of COS organizations with experience in proposal writing are invited to the course, as well as employees who have never written any project proposal, but would like to start. The course will provide the necessary knowledge on how to design log frame and work plans. At the end of the course, participants will be provided with certificates confirming attendance of the course on proposal writing.

Course Details

Program

The program of the course is based on the PWP (Proposal Writing Professional) methodology. The course includes the foundations of proposal writing – the participants will learn how to determine project objectives, and they will be taught risk management. The Program will set up as following:

  • Fund cycle and type of funds.
  • Deep and detailed Call for Applications’ analysis. 
  • Develop a successful proposal idea.

compliant with (UN, USAID, ECHO, HPC)

  • Write and plan successful and accurate budgets.
  • Develop log frame, action plan.
  • M&E plan.
  • Register for main donors’ portal and fulfill the requirement like DUNS for SAMs and Grants.gov etc.,

After completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand how to write a standard project proposal to a foundation.
  • Know how and when to follow up with funders after submitting a proposal.

Travelling after the course

We offer mini-trips with sightseeing to nearby cities and states after the course. Travelling is offered for an additional fee and includes tickets and one-night stay.

Accommodation and Meals

All the participants are provided with accommodation in Melbourne for the whole period of the course. The type of accommodation is a shared room for 2 people. The accommodation in a single room can be arranged for an additional fee – please see the additional services section. Participants have access to the kitchen which they can use. The accommodation is well connected by public transport with all the tourist places in Melbourne. During the program, sessions will be conducted in the classroom which is within walking distance from the accommodation. Participants will be provided with a detailed description of the venue and information on how to reach it from the airport.

We offer comfortable accommodation where you can stay during the program and fully enjoy your time in Melbourne!

Accommodation is provided for the dates of the program. If you arrive 1-2 days earlier or leave later – extra nights can be provided for an additional fee. Please email us in advance to ask about availability.
